A New Season at Horizons

As we begin to prepare the garden for fall planting, we are also planting new things within the Horizons community in this blog and on our Facebook Page.

For the Mondays in September, October, and November, we will be posting on Facebook short messages from two 20th century authors and spiritual guides. These messages are selected to provide imagery and inspiration as we encounter God in Creation, Contemplation, and Community. Reginald Somerset Ward was a priest and spiritual director in England. Selected quotations are from The Way and Following the Way. Robert Mulholland was a professor of New Testament at Asbury Theological Seminary. Selected quotations are from Invitation to a Journey and The Deeper Journey.

On Tuesdays, we will post tips, tools, and experiences for building relationships and community as we encounter God together.

On Wednesdays, we will post invitations to spiritual practices that prepare us to recognize our encounters with God in contemplation, community, and Creation.

On Thursdays, we will post Thoughts from the Garden, a reflection on encountering God in Creation.

We will close the week with Foody Friday, thoughts and reflections on eating well.

If you would like to support Horizons financially, we now have a donate button on our webpage as well as a link to Amazon Smile so that you can support Horizons while you shop.
