Singing the Lord's Prayer

Music speaks to us as humans. Deep down something resonates with our heart, soul, mind, and physical being. As a parent and educator I've always been amazed at how much children (and adults) learn and internalize from singing.

As we reflect this week on prayer practices and specifically the Lord's Prayer, I want to share a call and response version I have used with children of all ages. It admittedly does not fit with the contemplative theme of Lent, it is catchy and upbeat; however, it is a great way to internalize this prayer for future contemplative readings. Sing along, clap your hands, and enjoy!

I am including this video in our Lenten Resources playlist on our Horizons YouTube page. New material with be add with each topic in our Lenten series.
